As many of you are aware about 8 years ago I wAs many of you are aware about 8 years ago I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and continue my battle as there is no cure. The true cure is your attitude, diet, medical attention and support from family and friends. While over these past years I have had to learn how to deal and cope with my health issues I have had incredible support from my husband, Alan and my two boys, Tyler and Aaron. Also, I couldn’t be where I am today without all of your prayers, love and support.

Several months ago my doctors in Hershey connected me to a wonderful support group. Our group meets every other month in Hershey and we discuss many issues about our disease. Alan and I have attended all of the meetings and even after 8 years of dealing with my disease on this ourselves, have learned much about Crohn’s and have learned we are not alone. This past meeting the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, our organization in helping patients like myself, brought to our attention a walk they are having called “Take Steps to be Heard for Crohn’s & Colitis.”

I will be participating in Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. I have made a bold commitment to raise much needed funds to find a cure for digestive diseases. My goal is to raise $1,000.00. I hope you will consider supporting me by clicking the link below to make a donation. If you prefer, you can also send your contribution directly to me. Your support is greatly appreciated and needed.

One in every 200 people suffer daily with digestive diseases. CCFA’s mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. A champion for 1.4 million Americans, CCFA strives to inspire, instill hope, and create a community which empowers patients. I am asking you to support my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will truly make a difference in the thousands of lives suffering with IBD. If you are interested in joining me on walk day and helping my fundraising efforts, please register to join my team.

I appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you,
Sherrie Eckman
